Writing prose in the carpool pick up lane? Editing sestinas during swim practice? If you’re a writer and a parent, you’ve likely learned those precious few spaces peppered throughout your child’s schedule might be your only time to write. Perhaps, however, the time has come with your work where you need more than a moment here or a moment there.

Last month Rivendell was honored to receive a grant from the Sustainable Arts Foundation to fund four, two-week residencies for parent writers. These four fellowships are available to writers of any genre with children age twelve or younger.

Enjoy two weeks of uninterrupted writing, reading, editing, hammock-swinging, dock-lounging, hiking, and dare we say, sleeping. This time is yours.

Residencies are available September-December 2017.
>> Application period is April 1-May 31 <<
