Did that novel you were supposed to write in 2016 mysteriously fall off your list of things to do? It can happen to the best of us. So what better way to kick off 2017 than with a writing workshop led by two of the best names in Young Adult fiction writing today. To help us kick off our 2017 workshop series, Jeff Zentner and David Arnold are hosting WRITING BY EAR: A YA FICTION WRITING WORKSHOP WEEKEND (say that three times fast) JANUARY 6-8.

Both former musicians turned published authors, Zentner and Arnold write books the way they once played instruments: by ear. Together, they’ll lead workshop attendees through a weekend dedicated to YA fiction writing, including developing voice, constructing meaningful dialogue, and navigating the ins and outs of the publishing world.

Zentner is the author of 2016’s award-winning YA novel THE SERPENT KING and 2017’s GOODBYE DAYS. Arnold is the NYT bestselling author of 2015’s MOSQUITOLAND and this year’s KIDS OF APPETITE. Both have a penchant for writing West Wing fan fiction.

Set your tone for 2017 and apply today. Delicious food, more coffee than is normal or healthy, crackling fires, and lots of new words on the page—sounds like a good start to us.

Single Occupancy $475 // Includes all meals + lodging
$12 application fee
